BLCC Hosts Record-Breaking TBOT Archery Shoot

March 28, 2011

With over 200 rounds shot, this one will be a shoot to remember!

What an exciting weekend at the BLCC!  With over 80 archers travelling a 25 target course, our Second Annual Traditional Bowhunters of Texas-sponsored shoot proved to be both highly competitive and fun.  Over 200 rounds were shot by archers traveling from Fort Worth, Oklahoma, and Cooke County to enjoy the BLCC’s fabulous views and bluffy terrain.  Many TBOT members felt the course was an excellent warm-up for TBOT’s largest shoot, the Texas Hill Country Shootout, coming up in two weeks.  Breaking records after only two shoots with TBOT, the BLCC is quickly making a name for itself as a premiere archery course.

Many thanks to all those who made this shoot such a success, including Mark Lippe, Bobby Lutkenhaus (bowmaker-Predator Longbows), Paul Bartush, Todd Smith, and all the Bartush Volunteers!  We look forward to hosting another TBOT shoot next March and have plans for offering overnight accomodations as well as a campfire and cookout for dinner.  Don’t miss it!
